Trump is tired of the war in Iran. After the election on November 3rd, I expect the war will ramp up. Both Iran and Trump have suggested there will be new fighting. Iran might even start something just prior to the election.
If, by chance, Iran manages to strike a U.S. ship or kills a significant number of U.S. troops, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump uses a strategic nuclear weapon. He has been subtly telling us for months that he considers nuclear weapons an option that he has not ruled out.
We have lost service men and women in this war, but the numbers have been thankfully low. Iran has damaged a lot of U.S. weapons and infrastructure, but much of the destruction has been kept out of the news.
If there is a significant war loss that dominates the news, Trump will want to show the world he is still the most powerful person in the world. His pride will force him to take some terrible action. It's just the way he has always operated.
